Keyboard Shortcuts

Resool Team · · 3 min read

Keyboard shortcuts let you work through the Resool Inbox without reaching for the mouse: move between conversations, start a reply or an internal note, assign a conversation to yourself, snooze it and close it. Press ? in the Inbox at any time to see the main shortcuts.

Before you begin

  • Single-key shortcuts (such as J, R or E) work when you're not typing in a field. Click outside the reply box first, or press Esc to leave it.
  • On a Mac, shortcuts shown with Ctrl use the Control key unless ⌘ is listed.
  • Shortcuts that change a conversation need permission to reply.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Why doesn't J or E do anything?

The cursor is probably in a text field, or a menu or dialog is open.

What you can do:

  • Press Esc to leave the reply box or close the menu.
  • Click an empty area of the conversation, then try again.

Why does E close without asking for a category?

E is the quick close. To fill in the closing note, press Ctrl+Q or click Close instead.

Can I change the shortcuts?

No. The shortcuts are the same for everyone.

Do shortcuts work in the mobile app?

No. Keyboard shortcuts are for Resool on the web.
