Wave
Wave is accounting and invoicing software for small businesses. Connecting Wave to Resool shows each contact's Wave customer, invoices and balance due next to the conversation, lets agents create invoices and customers without leaving the inbox, and sends an invoice's PDF with its link straight into the chat. Workflows can create customers and invoices in Wave too.
What you can do with Wave
In the Inbox and on the contact page
- See the Wave customer matched to the contact, with name, email and phone.

- Send in chat: send the invoice PDF in the conversation with its total, due date and a "View and pay" link when Wave provides one.
- Create invoice and Create customer in Wave from the panel.

Before you begin
- You need a Wave account with at least one business. If you have several, you choose which one Resool uses after connecting.
- Wave invoice lines use a product or service, so create at least one in Wave.
- In Resool, only workspace Owners and Admins can connect apps. Creating invoices and customers from the panel needs permission to manage contacts.
- Customers are matched to a contact by email address or phone number.

- Business: the Wave business that customers and invoices are read from and created in. Switching it forgets which customer each contact was matched to.
Invoice defaults
- Product or service: the Wave product or service invoice lines use; its income account and tax settings apply. First product or service uses the first one in your list.
- Tax rate: a Wave sales tax applied to invoice lines that don't pick one.
- Due in: days from the invoice date until it's due. 0 means due on receipt.
- Invoice status: Draft stays editable in Wave; Finalized (issued) issues the invoice.
Customers
- Create customer automatically: when an invoice is created for a contact with no matching Wave customer, Resool creates one. When it's off, the invoice isn't created.

FAQ and troubleshooting
I have several Wave businesses. Which one does Resool use?
The one selected under Business in Manage. Changing it makes Resool match contacts again in the new business.
Why doesn't the panel find the customer?
Customers are matched by email or phone.
What you can do:
- Add the email or phone from the Wave customer to the contact.
- Or click Create customer.
Can I send a draft invoice?
No. Send in chat appears on issued invoices only. Create the invoice as Finalized (issued), or approve it in Wave first.
"Wave refused the connection"
The connection expired or access was removed. Reconnect Wave from Settings › Apps.
