Building Workflows with AI

Build with AI turns a plain-language description into a ready workflow. You say or type what should happen (for example "when a new chat opens on WhatsApp, greet the customer, ask for their name, then assign the chat to the Sales team") and Resool picks the trigger, adds the steps, fills in the texts and links your teams, tags and templates. Nothing is saved until you review the result on the canvas, so you stay in control. You can also use it to change an existing workflow, in English, Arabic and many other languages.

#Before you begin

• To use your voice, allow the microphone for Resool in your browser.
• Create the teams, lifecycle stages and WhatsApp templates you want to mention first, so the AI can link them.

#How to build a workflow with AI

1. Go to Workflows and click Add Workflow (or open an existing workflow).
2. Click Build with AI in the header.
3. In Build the workflow with AI, describe what the workflow should do. Be specific about:
   • what starts it (a new conversation, a keyword, a tag, a store order…),
   • the messages and questions, including any buttons,
   • what happens for each answer,
   • who the conversation goes to.

1. Click Build. If something essential is missing, the AI asks a short question with options; tap an option to answer and it continues.
2. The workflow appears on the canvas and a message summarises what was built. Review each step and fix anything highlighted.
3. Click Save to keep it as a draft, or Publish to turn it on.

#How to dictate a workflow

1. In the dialog, choose your Speaking language, or leave Detect automatically. Resool remembers your choice on this device.
2. Click the mic (Speak) and talk.
3. Click Pause to stop for a moment and Continue to carry on.
4. Click the square (Stop). What you said is written down and added to the end of the text, so you can edit it or dictate more before clicking Build.

Supported speaking languages include Arabic, English, French, Spanish, German, Turkish, Urdu, Hindi, Persian, Indonesian, Portuguese, Russian, Italian and Chinese.

#How to change a workflow with AI

Open a workflow that already has steps and click Build with AI. The dialog now asks what to change. Describe the change, for example "add a 1-day wait before the follow-up message" or "send Arabic speakers to the Arabic Support team". The AI keeps everything you don't mention.

#What the AI sets up for you

• Trigger and steps: any trigger and step type Resool supports. See Workflow Triggers and Workflow Steps.
• Teams, teammates, lifecycle stages and templates: matched by name to what exists in your workspace. Anything it can't find is listed in a Not found, pick them yourself message so you can pick it in the step.
• Tags: tags you mention that don't exist yet are created for you.
• WhatsApp templates: if the workflow needs a template you don't have, the template step shows AI suggests a new template with a Review and create button. The template still goes to Meta for approval before it can be sent.

#Notes and limitations

• The description can be up to 2,000 characters.
• The result is a draft: it doesn't run until you publish it.
• The AI can't connect apps or channels for you. Connect them in Settings › Apps or Settings › Channels first.
• You can also ask the Assistant to build a workflow from anywhere in Resool; it shows the workflow on a card for you to apply.

#FAQ and troubleshooting

#The AI didn't pick the right team or template.

The AI matches names in your workspace. Check the Not found message, then open the step and pick the right team, teammate or template yourself. Using the exact name in your description helps.

#I get an error that the AI limit was reached.

Your workspace has used its AI requests for this month. Buy an AI token pack or upgrade your plan. See Usage and AI Tokens.

#The mic doesn't work.

What you can do:

• Allow the microphone for this site in your browser settings, then try again.
• If your browser doesn't support recording, type the description instead.

#Can I build in Arabic?

Yes. Write or speak in Arabic. Set Speaking language to Arabic for the most accurate dictation.
