Webex

Webex is Cisco's video meeting app. Connecting Webex to Resool lets agents schedule a Webex meeting while they chat with a customer and send the join link in the same reply. You can see the upcoming meetings created for each contact and schedule Webex meetings automatically from workflows, which helps teams that already run their calls on Webex.

What you can do with Webex

In the Inbox

  • Create Webex meeting from the composer: set the topic, start time and duration, and the join link is added to your reply.
  • See the contact's Upcoming meetings created from Resool, with Join and Copy link buttons.
  • Create meeting from the Webex panel to get a new link copied to your clipboard.

On the contact page

  • The Apps card shows a Webex row with the contact's upcoming meetings.

In Workflows

  • The Create Webex meeting step schedules a meeting, and later steps can send the link with {{webex.join_url}}.

Before you begin

  • You need a Webex account that can schedule meetings. Meetings are scheduled on the Webex account you connect.
  • In Resool, only workspace Owners and Admins can connect apps.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Why isn't a meeting I scheduled in Webex shown in the panel?

The panel lists meetings created from Resool for that contact. Meetings scheduled directly in Webex aren't linked to a contact.

The panel can't load Webex. What do I do?

What you can do:

  • Wait a moment and open the panel again.
  • If it keeps failing, go to Settings › Apps, disconnect Webex and connect it again.

Whose Webex account hosts the meetings?

The Webex account connected in Settings › Apps. Meetings created by any teammate are scheduled on that account.

Can I connect Webex and Zoom at the same time?

Yes. Each has its own composer button, sidebar panel and workflow step.
