HubSpot
HubSpot is a CRM for marketing, sales and service teams. Connecting HubSpot to Resool puts each contact's HubSpot record, owner and deals next to the conversation, so agents can answer with full context, create or update the contact in HubSpot and log notes without switching tabs. You can also sync contacts and companies from HubSpot into Resool automatically.
What you can do with HubSpot
In the Inbox
- See the HubSpot record of the contact you're talking to: name, email, phone, owner and lifecycle stage, plus any other properties (such as lead source or lead status) you choose to show.
- See the contact's deals with their status (Open, Won or Lost).
- Create in HubSpot a contact that doesn't exist there yet, or Update it there if it already exists.
- Add note to the HubSpot contact straight from the conversation.
- Edit HubSpot properties from Resool, if an admin allows it.
- View in HubSpot to open the record in a new tab.
In the background
- Contact sync: contacts created or updated in HubSpot are created or updated in Resool, using the field mapping you set.
- Company sync: HubSpot companies sync into Resool with their own field mapping.
Before you begin
- You need a HubSpot account with permission to install apps and read contacts.
- In Resool, only workspace Owners and Admins can connect apps.
- The contact must have an email address or phone number in Resool so it can be matched to a HubSpot contact.

Let agents edit HubSpot properties
Turn on Allow users to edit HubSpot properties to let teammates change property values from the Resool panel. Changes go to HubSpot straight away. Email and phone number can't be edited from Resool.
Turn on Contact sync
- Turn on Contact sync.
- Under How Contacts are synced, choose one:
- Create and update contacts: new contacts are created and existing ones are updated.
- Create contacts only: new contacts are created; existing ones are linked but never updated.
- Update contacts only: only contacts that already exist in Resool are updated.
- Open Advanced settings if you need them:
- Add the "Auto-Create: HubSpot" tag to contacts created by the sync. Adding this tag doesn't start workflows.
- Include contacts imported in bulk to also create contacts from HubSpot bulk imports.
- Only contacts created in HubSpot from now on (with Create contacts only) to skip contacts that were already in HubSpot.
- Click Configure field mapping and pair each HubSpot property with a Resool field. Only mapped fields are updated, and a value cleared in HubSpot is cleared in Resool too.

FAQ and troubleshooting
How does Resool match a conversation to a HubSpot contact?
By the contact's email address or phone number. If the Resool contact has neither, add one first.
Will turning on Contact sync copy all my existing HubSpot contacts?
No. Only contacts created or updated in HubSpot after you turn on sync are synced. Import existing contacts separately.
Can agents change a contact's email or phone in HubSpot from Resool?
No. Email and phone number are read-only from Resool, even when property editing is allowed.
Can I connect more than one HubSpot account?
Each Resool workspace connects to one HubSpot account at a time. Disconnect it to connect a different one.
Which Resool plans include HubSpot?
Apps are available on all plans. See Plans and billing for plan limits.
