Constant Contact
Constant Contact is an email marketing platform for small and growing businesses. Connecting Constant Contact to Resool shows each contact's Constant Contact record next to the conversation: their email permission, their tags and the lists they're on. Agents can add the contact to a list from the inbox, and workflows can add or update contacts with tags automatically, so the people you chat with on any channel join your email lists.
What you can do with Constant Contact
In the Inbox and on the contact page
- See the Constant Contact record: email permission status, tags, and every list the contact is on.
- Add to list: add the contact to the default list or one you pick. If they're already on it, the button becomes Update in list.
- View in Constant Contact: open the contact in Constant Contact in a new tab.
In Workflows
- Add / update email subscriber: a workflow step that adds the contact to a Constant Contact list, or updates them there, with tags.
Before you begin
- You need a Constant Contact account with at least one contact list.
- In Resool, only workspace Owners and Admins can connect apps.

FAQ and troubleshooting
Does Resool change a contact's email permission?
No, not for contacts that already exist in Constant Contact: Resool only adds the list membership and tags. Someone who unsubscribed keeps their status.
Why can't I click Add to list?
Constant Contact always needs a list. Pick one in the panel, or set a Default list under Manage.
The panel says the connection expired
What you can do:
- Disconnect Constant Contact in
Settings › Appsand connect it again. - Check that the Constant Contact user who approved access still has access to the account.
Can I use the contact's phone number instead of email?
No. Constant Contact records are looked up and created by email address only.
