Klaviyo
Klaviyo is an email and SMS marketing platform used by many online stores. Connecting Klaviyo to Resool shows each contact's Klaviyo profile next to the conversation: the lists they're on, their email marketing consent and their tags. Agents can add the contact to a Klaviyo list from the inbox, and workflows can add or update profiles with tags automatically, so customers who message you end up in your Klaviyo flows.
What you can do with Klaviyo
In the Inbox and on the contact page
- See the Klaviyo profile: email marketing consent status, tags, and every list the profile is on.
- Add to list: add the contact to the default list or a list you pick. If they're already on it, the button becomes Update in list.
- View in Klaviyo: open the profile in Klaviyo in a new tab.
In Workflows
- Add / update email subscriber: a workflow step that adds the contact to a Klaviyo list, or updates them there, with tags.
Before you begin
- You need a Klaviyo account with at least one list.
- In Resool, only workspace Owners and Admins can connect apps.

FAQ and troubleshooting
Does adding a contact change their email consent?
A new profile is created as subscribed to email marketing on the list you chose. For a profile that already exists, Resool only adds it to the list: its consent stays as it is, so someone who opted out is never re-subscribed.
Where do the tags go in Klaviyo?
Into the profile property Resool tags, as a list of names. Klaviyo doesn't have profile tags.
Why can't I add this contact?
What you can do:
- Check that the contact has an email address in Resool.
- Pick a list, or set a Default list in Klaviyo settings. Klaviyo always needs a list.
- If the panel says the connection expired, disconnect Klaviyo and connect it again.
Does Klaviyo match contacts by phone number?
No. Lookups and adds use the contact's email address only.
