Basecamp
Basecamp is a project-management app where each project has its own to-do lists, messages and files. Connecting Basecamp to Resool lets your team turn a customer request into a to-do in the right project's to-do list, with a due date and a link back to the conversation. The contact's panel shows the to-dos created for them and marks the ones that are done. Workflows can create Basecamp to-dos automatically.
What you can do with Basecamp
In the Inbox
- Create to-do in a project's to-do list, with a description and a due date.
- See the Basecamp to-dos created for the contact, with completed ones checked off, and open them with View in Basecamp.
On the contact page
- The Connected apps list shows how many Basecamp to-dos the contact has and how many are still open.
In Workflows
- The Create Basecamp to-do step creates a to-do in a project's to-do list with notes and a due date.
Every to-do includes the contact's name, email and phone and a link to the conversation.
Before you begin
- You need a Basecamp account with access to the projects you want to use. Resool works with Basecamp 4 accounts.
- In Resool, only workspace Owners and Admins can connect apps and change their settings.
- Creating to-dos from the inbox needs a role that can manage contacts (Owner, Admin, Manager and Agent can by default).

How to configure Basecamp
Click Manage on the Basecamp card to open Basecamp settings. Under Defaults:
- Pick the Basecamp account, if you have more than one, and click Save changes. If you leave it empty, Resool uses your first Basecamp account.
- Pick the Project.
- Pick the To-do list in that project.
- Click Save changes.
Save the account before you pick its project, so the project list comes from the right account. Create to-do in the inbox and workflow steps that pick nothing use these defaults.
