ClickUp

ClickUp is a project-management app that organizes work into workspaces, spaces, folders and lists. Connecting ClickUp to Resool lets your team create a ClickUp task from any conversation in the list you choose, with a due date and a link back to the chat, and then follow the task's status from the contact's panel. Workflows can create ClickUp tasks automatically.

What you can do with ClickUp

In the Inbox

  • Create task in a ClickUp list, with a description and a due date.
  • See the ClickUp tasks created for the contact with their status, and open them with View in ClickUp.

On the contact page

  • The Connected apps list shows how many ClickUp tasks the contact has and how many are still open.

In Workflows

  • The Create ClickUp task step creates a task in a list with a name, a description and a due date.

Every task Resool creates includes the contact's name, email and phone and a link to the conversation.

Before you begin

  • You need a ClickUp account that can create tasks in the lists you want to use.
  • In Resool, only workspace Owners and Admins can connect apps and change their settings.
  • Creating tasks from the inbox needs a role that can manage contacts (Owner, Admin, Manager and Agent can by default).

How to connect ClickUp to Resool

  1. Go to Settings › Apps.
  2. Open the Productivity tab and click Connect on the ClickUp card.

  1. The Connect ClickUp dialog lists what Resool will be able to do: see the workspaces you allow with their spaces, folders and lists, create tasks, and see the status of the tasks created from Resool. Click Continue.
  2. Sign in to ClickUp in the window that opens, select the workspaces Resool may use and connect.
  3. You're returned to Resool and see ClickUp connected.

How to configure ClickUp

Click Manage on the ClickUp card to open ClickUp settings. Under Defaults, pick in order:

  • Workspace
  • Space
  • Folder: optional. Leave it empty to pick from the lists that sit directly in the space.
  • List: where new tasks go.

Changing a level clears the levels below it. Create task in the inbox and workflow steps that pick no list use these defaults. Click Save changes to store them.

FAQ and troubleshooting

A workspace is missing from the Workspace picker. Why?

Resool only sees the workspaces you allowed when you connected. Disconnect ClickUp and connect again, and select that workspace too.

My list isn't in any folder. How do I pick it?

Leave Folder empty (or choose No folder (lists in the space)). The List picker then shows the lists directly in the space.

Does Resool change the task after it's created?

No. Resool creates the task and reads its status. Manage the task in ClickUp.

Which plans include ClickUp?

Apps are included on every plan. See Plans and billing.
