Notification Settings
Notification settings let you decide what Resool tells you about and how. You can turn browser notifications and sound on or off, and switch whole topics, such as Tickets, Team chat or Meetings, off so they stop reaching you. These settings are personal: they change only your own notifications, not your teammates'.
Before you begin
- Notification settings are on the Notification settings tab of your profile. Open them with the Settings icon in the left rail, then Personal settings, then the Notification settings tab.
- To use browser notifications, your browser must support them and allow them for Resool.
Settings › Personal settings › Notification settings tab
The Notification settings tab with the Alerts section (Browser notifications and Sound switches) and the "Notify me about" section listing Conversations, Tasks and projects, Tickets, Spaces, Recordings, Team chat and Meetings with their hints and switches, two of them turned off.

How to set up alerts
Under Alerts:
- Browser notifications: shows a notification on your computer when Resool is in the background. The first time you turn it on, your browser asks for permission; click Allow. This is off until you turn it on.
- Sound: plays a short sound for new notifications. This is on by default. The sound itself is chosen by your workspace admins under Notification sound in Workspace Settings.
Click Save in the bar at the bottom of the page to keep your changes.
How to choose what you're notified about
Under Notify me about, every topic is on by default. Turn a topic off to stop its notifications:
| Topic | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Conversations | Automation alerts about conversations. |
| Tasks and projects | Tasks assigned to you, mentions, comments and approvals. |
| Tickets | Assigned tickets, replies and SLA warnings. |
| Spaces | Space automations and due-date reminders. |
| Recordings | Someone watched or commented on your recording. |
| Team chat | Mentions and replies in threads you're part of. |
| Meetings | Google Calendar reminders before your meetings, and a ring when one starts. |
Turned-off topics don't appear in your notifications. They also stop reaching you as browser notifications and as push notifications in the mobile app.
Click Save to apply your changes, or Discard to undo them.

Notes and limitations
- Meetings notifications need Google Calendar connected in Apps. See Google Calendar.
- Muting a single Team chat channel is done in the channel itself, not here. See Team Chat.
- Your notifications list (the bell in the left rail) is covered in Notifications.
FAQ and troubleshooting
I turned on Browser notifications but nothing appears. What can I do?
- If you see "Notifications are blocked for this site", allow notifications for Resool in your browser's site settings, then turn the switch on again.
- Check that your operating system allows notifications from your browser and that Do Not Disturb or Focus mode is off.
- Browser notifications appear only while Resool is in the background. If the Resool tab is in front, you see the notification in the app instead.
Why does it say "This browser doesn't support notifications"?
Your browser can't show system notifications. Use a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.
I don't hear any sound. Why?
- Check that Sound is on and saved.
- Check that your browser tab and computer aren't muted.
Will turning off a topic hide it for my whole team?
No. Notification settings are personal. Each teammate chooses their own.
